My name is Cass and I enjoy dividing my time between the kitchen and my bookstacks. I started The Lit Kitch when I realized that I could combine these two interests. When I noticed that almost every book I read mentions food, I began to see this as a unique opportunity to connect with and gain a deeper understanding of the texts I read. I am not, in any way, a professional chef; nor am I a professional reader of literature. I simply enjoy both, and would like to use this blog to explore where these two passions of mine intersect. Consider this blog a record of my endeavors to cook my way through literature.
When I am not cooking or reading, I enjoy traveling, camping, and hiking with my husband, Avrey, and our adorable but psychopathic little puggle, Charlie.
